Banco Sabadell Foundation's social transformation programme, B-Value, driven by Banco Sabadell Foundation and Ship2B Foundation, will grant an extraordinary award of 15,000 euros in its ninth edition for projects that rebuild the social fabric in areas affected by DANA. This award is part of Banco Sabadell and its Foundation's strategic plan to continue working on the comprehensive recovery of the affected territory.
In fact, given the impact this devastating climatic event had on the region's social, economic, and cultural fabric, the Banco Sabadell Foundation is already incorporating actions into its action plan to promote revitalisation and development in the region, especially in its two main areas of focus: culture and talent. In this regard, they are working hand in hand with Valencian entities to direct their current collaborations towards this goal.
In line with this commitment, Banco Sabadell Foundation and the Bank's Collection got involved at the end of the year in the initiative 'Art with Valencia', where, through a charity auction of over 100 artworks provided by galleries, foundations, artists, photographers, and the Bank's own collection, up to 100,000 euros were raised, which have been allocated to the rehabilitation of the affected territory through the Red Cross and Horta Sud Foundation.
"Following the terrible consequences caused by DANA in Valencia and given that third sector entities have been heavily involved in the reconstruction of the territory and the associative and business fabric of the area, we have decided to incorporate a special award into our B-Value programme to help restore the territory," explained Sonia Mulero, director of Banco Sabadell Foundation. This extraordinary award will be aimed at an entity from anywhere in the country working to rebuild the affected area.

B-Value is a programme aimed at leaders of the social sector working in non-profit entities based in Spain, to help them develop projects from a strategic perspective and professionalise their value proposition. In each edition, the programme offers, over 9 months, training sessions, mentoring, and strategic support from more than 160 professionals, allowing social entrepreneurs to strengthen their business model and increase their impact. Additionally, at the end of the programme, a final pitch, the Demo-Day, is held, where finalist entities receive monetary prizes of up to 85,000 euros and pro bono awards from programme partners, including specialised consultancies and communication campaigns.
The call for the ninth edition of the B-Value programme is now open, and any non-profit entity based in Spain can submit its application through the programme's promoting entities' website. The deadline is February 16.
B-Value is aimed at leaders of the social sector working in non-profit entities based in Spain, to help them develop projects from a strategic and innovative perspective, design new income generation models that allow them to professionalise their value proposition and move away from traditional philanthropic schemes. Since the programme's launch in 2017, B-Value has supported over 320 social entities on their journey towards more innovative and economically self-sustainable models.
A study conducted by the promoting entities reveals that 80% of the finalist projects of the programme are still operating today. Furthermore, after a year of participation, projects accelerated by B-Value have, on average, tripled their income and increased the number of beneficiaries served by 4.4 times.
The programme is driven by Ship2B Foundation and Banco Sabadell Foundation and co-driven by the Juan Entrecanales de Azcárate Foundation. It also counts on PWC Foundation, After, Sabadell Seguros, Joaquim Molins Figueras Foundation, and ONCE Foundation as strategic partners, as well as Hazloposible Foundation, Salto con Red, the Spanish Association of Foundations, and the Catalan Coordinator of Foundations as collaborating entities.
