A bird's-eye view. This is how the city of Alicante can be seen during the Hogueras 2025. Roig Arena, the future multi-purpose venue in Valencia spearheaded by Juan Roig, will launch a hot air balloon this Friday afternoon, June 20, allowing locals and tourists to ascend to the skies.

This infrastructure will be located in the Baver-Els Antigons district, where the 'Vanity' bonfire by Paco Torres, designed by Paco Camallonga, can also be admired from above. Both Roig Arena and the commission are collaborating on this initiative, bringing the future venue closer to the city of Alicante.

The Roig Arena hot air balloon will begin operations on June 20 and remain active until the 24th, just before the burning of the Hogueras de Alicante. The vessel has a capacity for two people, as reported by TodoAlicante, and will conduct various tethered flights during the main days of the city's official festivities.

Regarding the journeys, the hot air balloon will load users with free and orderly access. Once inside, the infrastructure will ascend vertically. The experience will allow viewing the Baver-Els Antigons bonfire from all perspectives, in addition to offering a unique panoramic view of Alicante, crowned by the Santa Bárbara castle and the backdrop of the Mediterranean.

A 'road show' through the streets of Alicante

The hot air balloon is not the only appearance of Roig Arena during the Hogueras de Alicante. The future multi-purpose venue has also launched a 'road show' through the streets of the Baver-Els Antigons district, featuring a bus offering various first-person experiences and shows.

The bus, stationed next to the Baver-Els Antigons bonfire, will open its doors on June 20 until the end of the Hogueras, while in July it will tour the region. Locals and visitors can board and enjoy a Roig Arena-style show. The vehicle is equipped with various elements.

One of these elements is a pair of virtual reality glasses that will allow appreciation of the future venue from different viewpoints: from the court or the stands, whether during a concert or a basketball game. It will also offer the perspective of a player, stepping onto the Roig Arena field.

Another 'on-road' experience comes from isolated headphones, the 'silent concert'. Thus, another sense takes center stage, hearing, as it allows experiencing how concerts and performances will sound inside Roig Arena. There will also be stickers and other surprises.

Ephemeral art at Alicante-Elche airport

Another connection Roig Arena wants to emphasize between the two capitals of the region is the Festival and ephemeral art. To this end, they have erected a 'monument' at the Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández airport.

This work is an artisan replica of its pavilion. The central body reproduces its exterior architecture with monumental dimensions: it is four meters deep, three meters wide, and nearly three meters high.

At the top of the 'monument', the ninots of Jean Montero and Raquel Carrera, from the male and female Valencia Basket teams, have also been placed, previewing several contents that the arena will host.
