Baleària has increased passenger and vehicle traffic between the Peninsula and North Africa by 10% during the Strait Crossing Operation compared to the same period last year. From June 15 to September 15, the shipping company transported more than 1,400,000 passengers and 360,000 vehicles on its nine routes involved in the campaign.

During this period, Baleària conducted over 5,000 trips, 5% more than the previous year's campaign, on its connections with the autonomous cities of Ceuta and Melilla (Algeciras-Ceuta, Almería-Melilla, Motril-Melilla, and Málaga-Melilla), with Morocco (Almería-Nador, Algeciras-Tangier Med, and Motril-Tangier Med), and Algeria (Valencia-Mostaganem and Alicante-Oran). To meet the high demand concentrated on these routes, the maritime company deployed twelve vessels, including ferries and fast ferries, representing more than a third of its fleet.

Baleària's General Director, Georges Bassoul, provided a very positive assessment of the Strait Crossing Operation and highlighted the competitiveness of the commercial offer as well as operational efficiency. "We have reaffirmed our commitment to international mobility during a period of high demand with a quality and reliable service and very high punctuality rates." Bassoul also expressed gratitude for the trust of customers and the efforts of the shipping company's teams, in addition to "the collaboration of all port authorities and security forces during these months of peak activity."

Moreover, it is noteworthy that this Strait Crossing Operation saw an increase in the number of customers booking through the direct online channel, although agencies and ticket offices remain the main points of sale.
