Baleària connects the sea with the mountains: getaways to ski in the Pyrenees and Sierra Nevada

Baleària is preparing to conquer the mountains. The shipping company from Dénia has signed various agreements at Fitur to promote ski getaways from the Balearic Islands to the Pyrenees and Sierra Nevada among its passengers.

In this way, it boosts mountain tourism during the winter on the mainland, through its wide variety of connections, both fast and by ferry from Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza, and Formentera.

Thus, Baleària has signed collaboration agreements with Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya and the Sierra Nevada Ski and Mountain Station to promote ski getaways.

As part of these agreements, alpine stations offer special deals to the shipping company's customers for purchasing ski passes at any of the six Catalan ski resorts; as well as exclusive discounts to members of the Baleària Club, the maritime company's loyalty portal.

The Commercial and Revenue Director of Baleària, Jaime de la Puente, highlighted that "this agreement emphasizes the added value of the maritime transport service offered by the company to Balearic residents, who, thanks to a wide range of ferry and fast ferry connections, can better use their time to make getaways to the best ski resorts in Spain."

"Moreover, Baleària's commitment to sustainability and eco-efficiency of its fleet, as well as innovation and digitalization on board, make each boat trip part of the getaway and a unique and memorable experience for passengers," he added.

It should be remembered that Baleària has a fast ferry connection and three ferry connections from the islands to Barcelona. On the other hand, it makes two fast ferry connections from the archipelago to the Valencian Community, where it connects Palma, Ibiza, and Formentera with the port of Dénia in a two-hour journey, in addition to ferry services to Valencia from Mallorca and Ibiza.
