The Award Received by Langui at the Alicante Film Festival
'Bien de barrio' Chosen as the Best Project at the VII Fiction Project Laboratory

The feature film project 'Bien de barrio', by Juan Manuel Montilla (Langui), has received the Impulsa Award for innovation, within the VII Fiction Project Laboratory at the Alicante International Film Festival. Other winners at the Laboratory include the À Punt Award for 'Papel de plata' by Jimena LLamas; the SGAE Foundation Award for originality and creativity for 'Spaguetti Bigfood' by Marcos Solanilla.
The Music Library Award, which offers a limited flat-rate production access to music catalogues it sub-edits and distributes, was awarded to 'Feliciano el serio' by José Larrosa and Héctor Bastida. The Welab Professional Equipment Award went to 'Los durmientes' by Dídac Gimeno; the Movibeta Award was given to 'En los límites' by Lara Stoop and Alexander L Arias; and finally, two special mentions were awarded to 'Disparar a la cabra' by Mario Martínez Sáenz and Cristina Díez-Madroñero and 'El caso margarita' by Sirio Morcillo.
The Laboratory is an initiative that facilitates meetings between creators and established professionals in the film industry. This seventh edition set a record with the reception of 303 feature film and television series projects.
Mari Carmen de España, Councillor for Employment and Local Development, celebrated the record participation in this edition of the Laboratory and the high quality of the works presented during the week. She also highlighted "the importance of having projects like the Laboratory to promote and foster employment in the audiovisual sector" and emphasized the commitment of the Alicante City Council to it.
The director of the Film Festival, Vicente Seva, highlighted the exponential growth of the event, which in this seventh edition. "In the first edition, we did not reach a hundred, and seeing how this initiative has evolved is a clear demonstration of the emerging talent in the field of fiction. Several projects have already passed through the laboratory and have come to fruition, and I am sure that with the quality of this year's works, we will see some in the future."
