Augusto Moreno Returns Home with Horneo EÓN Alicante

The 1.92-metre left back joins from Caserío de Ciudad Real at the express request of Fernando Latorre

Horneo EÓN Alicante has repeatedly expressed its desire to feature local talent for its debut in the Liga Plenitude ASOBAL, and Augusto Moreno fits this profile. The 26-year-old arrives from Caserío de Ciudad Real and has signed for the next two seasons.

The left back (192 cm) has played with the Ciudad Real team since 2022, achieving promotion to ASOBAL. Previously, he represented BM Zamora, Handbol Sant Joan, Fundación Agustinos Alicante, and TM Benidorm. With the latter, he debuted in ASOBAL under Fernando Latorre's guidance, playing nine matches and scoring six goals. The Alicante native has been a regular in the Valencian and Spanish national team camps.

Abraham Rochel describes Augusto as a "defensive specialist who has matured significantly over the years at Caserío de Ciudad Real and has become one of the most important defensive players in the category. He comes to strengthen not only the central block of the defence alongside Pepe Oliver and Darko Dimitrievski but can also play in various positions within the defensive system." Rochel also acknowledges that the club is "very pleased that Augusto is returning home to play in ASOBAL."

For his part, Augusto expresses being "very happy to belong to this club and this exciting project" and "eager to start" the season at home.

Meanwhile, Horneo EÓN Alicante, newly promoted to the Liga Asobal, has unveiled its season tickets for the upcoming season, available from 100 euros. Children aged 0 to 12 will receive free season tickets, and those with reduced mobility (PMR) can purchase theirs for 80 euros.

Regarding seating, the preferred section (sector G) will cost 100 euros, the ends will be priced at 130 euros, and corner tickets will be 140 euros. Meanwhile, the main stand will be 150 euros, and the VIP area will be 300 euros. The latter offers the best view of the court, catering during breaks, and personalised attention during matches. Additionally, fans can choose their seat in this VIP area of Pitiu Rochel.
