'La familia de la tele' did not have the best start, at least in terms of audience. After being postponed for a couple of weeks, first due to the Pope's death and then because of the blackout that left Spain without power, the new afternoon offering from La 1, led by the 'Sálvame' team, did not captivate as expected on its first day. The grand inaugural parade failed to overshadow the main competitors on other channels, although this Tuesday will be the first day that, in the studio, the members of this family can measure their television strength.

This Monday, the programme was broadcast as a container. After the news, the first part of 'La familia de la tele' was aired, followed by 'Valle Salvaje' and 'La Promesa'. After these, the second part of the new programme aired. The first segment, broadcast between 15:54 and 16:59, barely achieved an 8.7% share and 769,000 viewers. These figures place the programme two-tenths below 'Tardear' and 5.4 points behind Antena 3's 'Sueños de libertad'. Moreover, it only surpassed Cuatro's 'Todo es mentira' by three-tenths. In their respective slots, both Telecinco's programme (9.6% and 794,000) and Antena 3's series (14.1% and 1,254,000) recorded similar figures to previous weeks, hardly noticing the debut of La 1's new proposal.

Kantar, the audience measurement company, provided only a global average. Between 15:54 and 20:28, La 1 averaged 10.1% with just 807,000 viewers, figures that do not exceed La 1's daily average. During this time slot, the most-watched channel was Antena 3, with a notable 12.4%, although not Telecinco (9.7%).
