The headquarters of the local PSOE group in Alicante on Pintor Gisbert Street suffered vandalism on Wednesday, resulting in damage to the building's door. Objects such as stones and eggs were thrown at the glass entrance, causing cracks in the material.

The party acknowledges that such attacks are frequent, involving the throwing of objects, graffiti, or posters. Occasionally, stones are thrown or the lock is blocked with silicone. These attacks have been reported by Pedro Sánchez's party, although the perpetrators have not yet been identified.

The PSOE admits that in many cases, the graffiti is attributed to fascist and far-right groups, signed by organizations like the Falange and other similar movements.

Close sources insist that the increase in the frequency of these attacks is due to "the heightened rhetoric of right-wing parties, with the PP adopting an Ayuso-like discourse that generates much tension, which is not typical of a party like this."

Although most of the vandalism results in only material damage, during Sánchez's investiture, it was necessary for the National Police to act to ensure the safety of militants who approached the socialist headquarters in Alicante. During those days, far-right movements demonstrated near Pintor Gisbert.

Recurrent Vandalism

The PSOE headquarters in Alicante has suffered several attacks over the past year. On August 5th, the building's door was found covered in trash. The vandalism followed the agreement reached by the PSC and ERC in Catalonia, which included, among other things, unique financing for the autonomy.

These attacks intensify during moments of heightened tension, such as controversies arising from agreements with Catalonia, like the Amnesty Law, which led to threats and graffiti in Alicante reading "Sánchez execution" directed at the Prime Minister.

This Wednesday, the Congress of Deputies ratified the revaluation of pensions, the extension of transport discounts, and aid for those affected by the DANA, all included in the second 'omnibus' decree to reach the Plenary this year.

Only Vox voted against, while UPN abstained, and the rest of the chamber, including the PP, voted in favor. The House also unanimously decided to process the decree as a bill.

Two weeks ago, the government attempted to pass these measures in another omnibus decree, but the PP, Junts, and Vox rejected it, disagreeing with its overly heterogeneous nature, which included everything from the mentioned economic measures to the return of a mansion in Paris to the PNV or the extension of the eviction moratorium.
