National Police have arrested a 20-year-old Moroccan for his alleged involvement in two burglaries at a vehicle parking establishment in Elche. The arrested individual had previously worked for the company, giving him knowledge of the premises. The former employee stole a total of 3,878 euros, along with various items, according to police sources.

The most recent incident occurred in the early hours when the young man forced one of the access doors to enter the establishment. He took advantage of the employees' departure to the airport to collect a vehicle, disconnecting the lights to avoid detection by the facility's cameras.

Once inside, the alleged perpetrator managed to access the safe, which was also forced open, stealing a total of 2,846 euros in cash. During the robbery, he also tampered with a computer tower, where money had occasionally been stored.

The modus operandi raised suspicions among the establishment's managers, as the perpetrator's knowledge of the company's operations was extensive. These suspicions fell on a former employee recently dismissed due to a loss of trust.

This was not the first theft the detainee had committed at the establishment. In July of this year, another burglary was recorded at the same location. On that occasion, the detainee took a mobile phone, a fire extinguisher, the keys to a company vehicle, and 1,032 euros in cash. The characteristics of the incident, along with the knowledge of the premises demonstrated in that event, suggested that the perpetrator of both crimes could be the same person.

Following complaints filed by the establishment's managers and after conducting the necessary investigations, officers were able to gather the evidence needed to fully identify the perpetrator of the thefts.

With all the evidence collected, the National Police proceeded to locate and arrest the suspect in the same town of Elche. The former employee was fully linked to the thefts, as he possessed some of the items stolen from the premises.

The arrested individual was brought before the Elche Magistrate's Court on duty, with the facts of the case clarified.
