In February last year, a 20-year-old man was shot twice in the legs in a park in Xàbia. Officers from the Judicial Police Team arrived at the scene to conduct initial investigations, gathering evidence and witness statements. Nearly a year later, the Civil Guard has solved the shooting: it was a drug-related dispute.
The 'Operation Proyectil 24' concluded with the arrest of two Moroccan nationals, aged 25 and 29, for drug trafficking and aggravated assault with a firearm. The investigation has identified the mastermind behind the attack and led to the seizure of a significant amount of narcotics.
In December 2024, once the suspects were identified and located, the Civil Guard executed the operation's exploitation phase. With support from the Valencia Reserve and Security Group (GRS), a raid was conducted at a residence in Xàbia, resulting in the arrest of two Moroccan men.
During the search, 470 grams of various narcotics, including cocaine, MDMA-Ecstasy, and heroin, were seized, along with €14,700 in cash, 16 mobile phones, two GPS devices, and documents of interest to the investigation.
The detainees, charged with aggravated assault with a firearm and drug trafficking, were brought before the Denia Court of Instruction No. 3, where they were released with precautionary measures.
