Man Arrested for Pushing Woman from Seven-Metre Height at Madrid Bus Station

The woman sustained serious injuries from the fall and was transported to the Hospital 12 de Octubre.

A man was arrested on Sunday afternoon after pushing a woman from a height of seven metres at the Méndez Álvaro bus station in Madrid, according to police sources.

The assault occurred at 8:00 PM on Sunday, when the man caused the 34-year-old woman to fall from approximately seven metres, landing on her right side and sustaining serious injuries.

Paramedics from Samur-Civil Protection arrived at the scene to stabilise the woman. She was conscious and experiencing pain in her spine, specifically in the right rib cage, as reported by Emergencies Madrid.

Although she was stable, she was transported in a potentially serious condition to the Hospital 12 de Octubre, where she remains hospitalised. The Municipal Police also intervened and escorted the convoy to the hospital.

Officers from the National Police also attended the scene to take witness statements and have taken charge of the investigation.
