Officers of the National Police have arrested two men as suspected perpetrators of several violent robberies in Alicante, according to the police force.
The arrested individuals are two brothers-in-law who allegedly used the snatch method to steal gold chains and medals from elderly women.
Subsequently, according to the same source, they sold the stolen jewellery in gold-buying establishments in Alicante, where they gained profits of over 4,000 euros.
