Arrested in San Isidro for Concealing Cocaine in a Modified Vape

The Civil Guard has arrested a 30-year-old man for a public health offence after he was caught with 11 doses of cocaine hidden inside a vape device. The intervention took place during a security operation in the industrial area of La Granadina, in the town of San Isidro, according to sources from the Armed Institute.

A patrol from the Main Post of Dolores was conducting the control when they observed a driver exiting a betting establishment without using a seatbelt. After stopping him for identification, the officers noticed his unusually nervous behaviour, prompting a personal and vehicle inspection.

During the search, the Armed Institute officers found 579 euros in small bills and several mobile phones. At that moment, the visibly agitated suspect voluntarily handed over a vape device he had concealed under his clothing. Inside the device, which had been modified for the occasion, they found 11 packages of cocaine ready for direct distribution, according to the Benemérita.

The detainee, who has various prior offences and is charged with drug trafficking, was brought before the Court of Instruction No. 2 of Orihuela, which ordered his release with the imposition of precautionary measures.
