The Local Police of Elche have arrested a man for threatening another man with a knife. The suspect had been staying in the victim's home along with his partner. After an argument with his partner, he began destroying the house's furniture and, when the homeowner asked him to leave, he pulled out a knife and threw it at the homeowner's torso.
The homeowner managed to dodge the blade and, due to the incident, ran out of his own house to alert the police. Upon arrival, officers observed a man in an agitated state throwing furniture from the window onto the terrace.
According to local security forces, the incident occurred on September 2nd at three in the morning. The police received a call about a man breaking furniture in a residence in the Carrús neighborhood. Two patrol units were dispatched to the scene, where they met with the complainant.
He explained that a few days earlier he had taken in a couple and that while they were watching television, they began to argue intensely. The argument quickly escalated and when he tried to intervene, the man started destroying the house.
In response to this situation, he asked him to leave, but the man refused and, with an open knife, threatened to kill him, later throwing it at his body, although the complainant managed to dodge it. While the officers were heading up to the apartment, neighbors warned them that the man was highly agitated and throwing items out of the window onto the street.
Upon entering the property, the aggressor had fled but was located minutes later by officers whom he attempted to evade. Due to these events, the 43-year-old man was arrested and taken to police headquarters. During transit, he hurled insults and threats at the officers.
