Liam James Payne, former member of 'One Direction', had traces of "polydrug use of alcohol, cocaine, and an antidepressant" in his body when he died on October 16 after falling from the balcony of a hotel room in Buenos Aires. This is stated in a report by the Argentine Public Prosecutor's Office, which indicates that three individuals have been charged in connection with the British musician's death.
The person who regularly accompanied the artist around Buenos Aires, a hotel employee where he died, and a drug supplier are the three individuals who must answer to the Justice to clarify the death. Specifically, the trusted person is charged with the crimes of abandonment of a person leading to death, facing a sentence of 5 to 15 years in prison, as an author and facilitator of drugs.
To carry out these charges, the judge relies on the hotel's recording systems and the registry of people who interacted with the singer in the hours leading up to his death. It is for this reason that one of the hotel workers has been charged, as it was proven that he supplied cocaine to Payne on two occasions. The third individual is also proven, as stated in the report, to have provided drugs to the musician on two occasions on October 14.
