As you know, this parrot flits from one festivity to another. It truly embodies the popular saying 'like a good Alicante native', being a bonfire enthusiast, a Hercules supporter, and a Santa Faz pilgrim, even if it merely flies over the route.
During one of its flights over the city of Alicante, this bird has set its sights on the monastery of the Holy Face, at a time when it has come to ask and venerate the Relic.
With eyes set on the altar, it observed how the devotees also follow the same path and kneel before the Divine Face to attend several of the Eucharists offered by Chaplain Miguel Ángel Cremades.
After the mass, some of the faithful cross the altar of the monastery of the Holy Face to approach the reliquary and experience a moment of faith up close.
At the end, Chaplain Cremades bids them farewell before they cross the doors to the outside of the hamlet. Not without first making a request to the clergyman.
"Excuse me, I noticed there is no holy water and I always take some. Could you bless this bottle for me?" was the plea of one of the Holy Face worshippers.
Without any problem, the chaplain approached and acted. He did the same with another devotee who handed him a memento of the reliquary. With a prayer, Miguel Ángel Cremades blessed it, in anticipation of the pilgrimage next Thursday, the day of the Holy Face in Alicante.
