After the changes in the Fira de Tots Sants in Cocentina, whose inauguration scheduled for this Friday will lack any festive symbol, the Dénia City Council has also announced modifications in its fair in mourning for the victims of the Dana.
The capital of Marina Alta will also open the doors of its fair this weekend, but it will do so without playing music "as a sign of respect", municipal sources explain. The City Council's decision to suspend "certain festive and cultural activities" led to a meeting with the representative of the Fira de Tots Santa association to make a decision regarding the fair.

The entity initially communicated to the Dénia City Council the adherence of the Fira de Tots Sants to the mourning with the suspension of its activity for three days. However, its representative conveyed "the concern of the fairground workers about the economic damage that this measure would entail for their businesses".
They also conveyed to the Dénia City Council that the businesses have suffered losses this week due to "adverse weather conditions, the economic uncertainty of their activity in the province of Valencia and the existing agreement with the local Administration".
All this, and also with the aim of "mainly attending to children during the holiday", the City Council and the Fira de Tots Sants association have agreed to hold the fair without music "as a sign of respect" to the nearly one hundred victims left by the Dana and all those affected by this catastrophe in the neighboring province and other autonomous communities.
