Carlo Ancelotti delivered a clear and firm message when questioned about the recent statements made by Diego Pablo Simeone, who suggested that favourable refereeing decisions for Real Madrid have been occurring 'for 100 years'. 'These are thorns that hurt,' stated the Italian coach. 'These are things said for the gallery. Everyone in football knows what Real Madrid represents in 125 years of history,' he added, firmly defending the prestige and legacy of the club, on the eve of the match against Las Palmas.

In a delicate moment for the team, Carlo Ancelotti assured that he feels fully supported by the Real Madrid board. 'From day one, I have had a great relationship with the president and with José Ángel. There is no problem, we continue working together,' declared the coach, dispelling any doubts about his continuity. He also took responsibility for the recent results, including the defeat against Barcelona. 'I accept the criticism and the boos because they are fair. The team's performance against Barcelona is my responsibility, but this team is alive and will fight until the end,' he affirmed.

Ancelotti also reflected on the need for constant learning, making it clear that he always seeks to evolve: 'When you think you know everything, that's when you start to lower your level. And that's not my case because I like new things.' He acknowledged that, as a coach, his responsibility is to make the team play well, something they have not always achieved, but he expressed confidence in his players and the work done: 'I don't think people have forgotten what we have done in the past or what we are going to do because we are fighting at the top.'

Bajas, refuerzos y el futuro del ataque

The coach confirmed that Brahim Díaz will take the place of Vinícius, suspended after his expulsion in Mestalla: 'We miss him because he is always a great player. I think he has learned from what happened and is calmer.' He also praised Mbappé, highlighting his growing prominence: 'Every match he raises his level. His adaptation period is over.' Regarding Endrick, he lowered expectations: 'He is progressing well, but I prefer players with more experience for important matches.'

David Alaba could return after his injury, although Carlo Ancelotti warned that he still lacks rhythm: 'He is close to joining the team, but he will not start.' Additionally, the Italian coach took the opportunity to criticise the timing of the next match against Las Palmas, especially in January. 'Complaining about the schedule, I complain a lot and it is useless. A match at 21:30 in August I can understand, but in January not so much,' expressed Ancelotti, making clear his dissatisfaction with the schedule.
