The Alicante Wine DO postpones the Monastrell Day event due to the DANA

The Regulatory Council of the Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) Alicante Wines has postponed the event scheduled for this Thursday afternoon to Friday, November 22nd at 12 o'clock, in solidarity with the tragedy that occurred in Valencia due to the DANA.

The signing of the Monastrell Manifesto will thus take place at the Villena Cultural House that same morning with the presence of the Vinalopó municipalities, the Alicante Provincial Council, the Regional Government, universities, and other entities that have joined the document.

A signing that aims to inform about the values and the current situation of this unique plant material in the world, in order to seek everyone's collaboration in its understanding and defense, in the coming years when a decline in its cultivation and the disappearance of emblematic plots is expected.

In the afternoon of that same day, at 7:30 p.m., the Regulatory Council has also scheduled the performance of the comedy "Fondillón for Two" by Carlos Maluenda from Monóvar. Tickets can be obtained for free on the KakV website.
