Alicante Students to Harness Robotics for Water Challenge Solutions

San Vicente del Raspeig will become the epicenter of educational robotics with the fourth edition of the INTER CUP BOTS 2025, held at the Ginés Alenda Sports Pavilion. More than 250 students from nursery, primary, and secondary schools will participate in the event.

The competition has been driven by the AMPAS of six public educational centers in the municipality (CEIP Azorín, Miguel Hernández, La Almazara, Victoria Kent, Raspeig, and L'Horta), with technical support from RobotuXc Academy, specialists in technological education. This edition will also feature special participation from CEIP El Tossal and Jesús María Villafranqueza schools as invited centers.

In addition to robotic challenges, the event will include performances, interactive zones, and a special visit from the animation group Los Cazafantasmas Alicante, who will add a festive touch to the educational experience.

This year, the proposed challenge revolves around a crucial theme: water. Through practical tasks, participating teams must design and program robots that provide solutions to current environmental challenges related to the water cycle, its consumption, and conservation. The initiative takes inspiration from the Alicante Water Strategic Plan 2022–2027, integrating its values into the event's educational approach.

The event has been made possible thanks to the collaboration of numerous public and private entities, including the San Vicente del Raspeig City Council, its Departments of Education and Sports, the Alicante Provincial Council, and the company Aguas de Alicante. The CANASTELL Public Integrated Vocational Training Center in San Vicente del Raspeig will also join this initiative.

Additionally, companies such as El Corte Inglés in Alicante and Elche, Tecnofix Alicante, Papelería Carlin San Vicente, El Mundo de los niños, Sirauto, Informática Ros, Rótulos Innova, Scolarest, El Petit Lector, Informática Ros, Copistería Grafibel, among others, will contribute to the success of the event.
