The UCO report on alleged irregularities in public contracting and the possible involvement of former minister José Luis Ábalos, accessed by TodoAlicante, reveals that socialist deputy Alejandro Soler is mentioned in one of the conversations intercepted by the Civil Guard.

The former general secretary of the PSPV in the province of Alicante has little or nothing to do with the case, but two key figures in it attempt to turn to the man from Elche to secure a job for a third party.

These individuals mentioning Soler are none other than Koldo García Izaguirre and Santos Cerdán, who resigned this Thursday after the UCO report revealed his alleged involvement in the case of supposed kickbacks in exchange for contract awards.

The conversation in which both suspects mention Soler took place on February 2, 2022, and is recorded in one of the audios captured by Koldo. It is one of the meetings they held after the departure of the former advisor and Minister Ábalos from the Ministry of Transport (MITMA).

"After several months without meeting, Koldo updated Santos on his situation and that of his family," states the UCO report accessed by TodoAlicante. It is here that Koldo mentioned Patricia (Pati), his partner, whom he "was trying to get employed by a company," preferably in Alicante or a town in the Marina Baixa.

The audio intercepted by the Armed Institute captures the following from the conversation between Koldo and Santos Cerdán: "We need to find a trick or something for her to contribute in Alicante, Benidorm, Altea, all that area, around there." It is at this point that the Alicante socialist deputy is mentioned.

"With Alejandro Soler, I get along very well, I have no problem and with the Organization Secretary there too, but I don't dare to speak up. I haven't told José anything yet, okay? I'm telling you," Koldo says to Santos Cerdán.

The former deputy's response continues with: "You tell me and I'll talk to Alejandro too if you want." To which Koldo replies: "I would go, yes, because he holds you in high regard, Alejandro Soler, holds you in high regard and Jose said speaks very well. Man, he speaks ill of Adriana, they are at odds..."

Regarding this job search for Patricia, Koldo admits that "I don't want to go back, not even dead" and intends to stay in Benidorm. "I have my house in Benidorm, I have my parents and I don't want to know anything," he reveals during the intercepted conversation, while insisting that "I have my wife and my daughter and nothing else, but I want Pati to contribute," which is why they mention Soler.
