Alicante travels to Morocco to strengthen commercial relations and economic ties between both regions. An autonomous delegation has travelled to the Maghreb to meet with various agents and participate in a business forum.
On the occasion of the visit, the Alicante Chamber of Commerce has signed a collaboration agreement with the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region's organisation and the Regional Foundation to develop continuous training activities, exchange experiences and best practices, and promote internationalisation.

The initiative will boost training as a strategic work tool for economic development and social progress in these regions through courses, seminars, workshops, and certifications. All of this will be delivered through online and in-person training, focusing on areas such as digitalisation, tourism, foreign trade, sustainability, business management, professional integration, and entrepreneurship.
The president of the Alicante Chamber, Carlos Baño, detailed that "this agreement confirms the brotherhood and ongoing relationship between the Alicante Chamber and these North African Chambers to continue working together on various issues, primarily in training but also in other important areas such as arbitration." He affirmed, "We are committed to a future together. We have many things in common, many years of history, and much tradition."
Delegation in Morocco
Baño participated in the Valencian delegation led by the Minister of Innovation, Industry, Trade and Tourism, Marián Cano, and the president of the Community Chambers Council, José Vicente Morata. They were accompanied by the president of the Orihuela Chamber, Mario Martínez, and the president of the Alcoi Chamber, Lucía Pascual.

Upon arrival in Tangier, the delegation was received by the 'wali' of the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region, Younes Tazi, and the president of the Tangier Chamber of Commerce, Abdelatif Alfailal.
"We want to strengthen commercial and economic ties between our companies, facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experiences, and promote new investments that contribute to sustainable development and prosperity in both regions," stated Minister Marián Cano; while the president of the Community Chambers highlighted that "the goal is to consolidate cooperation and open new avenues of economic collaboration between both territories and our companies."
Companies and sectors
The Valencian delegation comprises 20 companies from strategic sectors such as food (Almendra y Miel, Vicky Foods, Raúl Asencio Bakeries, Conservas Hola), construction (EMAC, Infraca), chemicals (Antonio Tarazona, Tarazona Agrosolutions), health (Ascires), wood (Hermanos Catalá), transport (Vectalia), tourism (Europa Travel, El Plantío Golf Resort), textiles (Manuel Revert, Tutto Piccolo), and consultancy (Grupo Eratema), as well as SZ Sport Consulting and Jubopadel Internacional, CaixaBank, Valencia Port Authority.
These companies participate in B2B meetings, institutional visits, and meetings with representatives of the Moroccan productive sector, as part of an agenda designed to identify real business and cooperation opportunities.
