Alicante Seeks Pyrotechnicians for Mascletàs Competition at Luceros

The 2025 Hogueras of Alicante are progressing smoothly. The City Council has announced the competition for mascletàs at Luceros and opens the contract for the seven pyrotechnic companies that will launch their shows from June 18 to 24 in the Plaza de los Luceros.

The City Council maintains, in this new announcement, the prices for the displays compared to the last two years. It was in 2023 when the budget was increased - in response to sector demands - by 2,500 euros. Thus, each mascletà will cost 8,500 euros including taxes.

Regarding the competition, the evaluation parameters remain unchanged. A display must last a minimum of five and a half minutes - not counting the three warning salvos - and a maximum of seven minutes. The maximum authorized weight of explosive material will be 80 kilos and regulated material will be 150 kilos.
