The Costa Blanca Board participated in the XXVII edition of the Intur Fair, held in Valladolid, a leading event for inland tourism in the Iberian Peninsula. The autonomous body of the Alicante Provincial Council attended this event within the Turisme Comunitat Valenciana space, which consists solely of an exhibitor with counters identified by tourist brands and a working table area. Costa Blanca was accompanied by the municipalities of El Campello, Villena, Biar, and Santa Pola.
According to José Mancebo, director of the Costa Blanca Board, "Intur continues to establish itself as a key event in the field of inland tourism, and our participation aims to promote this market segment by showcasing our Grand Inland Route, a linear journey of over 430 km divided into 20 stages, through which we can experience the landscape, environmental, and cultural contrasts of the province."
Data for 2023 shows an increase in rural tourism accommodations, both in the number of travelers (38.3%) and overnight stays (13.6%), compared to 2022. Domestic demand accounts for 72.24% of the total overnight stays recorded in the province's rural accommodations.
Intur -International Inland Tourism Fair- recorded an increase in the number of visits in 2023, reaching 33,000 people, who over three days discovered the proposals presented by the 1,200 participating destinations, representing the entire national geography and Portugal.
