The Department of Social Welfare of the Alicante City Council has launched a call for grants to non-profit organisations that develop volunteer projects in the municipality in 2025, with a total budget of €30,000.
"We want to recognise and promote the work carried out every day by volunteers who selflessly dedicate their time to others, making Alicante a better and more supportive city," highlights the Councillor for Social Welfare, Begoña León. "The aid to non-profit organisations that promote volunteering is our way of collaborating and boosting this essential work," she adds.
The municipal aid regulated in this call aims to encourage and promote the design, planning, and implementation of volunteer projects in the municipality of Alicante that contribute to achieving the strategic areas outlined in the Alicante City Council's Municipal Strategic Plan for Volunteering 2021-2025, mainly in training, internal management, information and communication technologies, networking, internal and external participation, media, transparency, and best practices.
Application Deadline
The total amount of the call amounts to €30,000, and each project will receive a maximum of €3,000. The granted amount will be made in a single payment after the corresponding justification of the activity.
Among other requirements, the bases establish that applicant entities must be registered in the Municipal Register of Entities of the Alicante City Council, have the promotion and encouragement of volunteering among their institutional purposes, and carry out their volunteering activities in Alicante regularly and for at least one year.
The application submission period will be 15 working days from the day following the publication of these bases in the Official Gazette of the Province. The application form will be available on the municipal website.
