The Alicante Native Set to Present New Year's Eve Chimes on TV

The face of an Alicante journalist is gaining prominence at Mediaset. This is Ricardo Reyes, current presenter of El Desmarque Cuatro and El Desmarque Madrugada, who will present the New Year's Eve chimes this Tuesday alongside the 3 PM Telecinco News presenter, Ángeles Blanco, for the Canary Islands on Mediaset. This milestone in his career is shaping up to be a crowning achievement for 2024, highlighting the network's trust and investment in him.

Reyes, a self-confessed Hercules fan, moved to Madrid to study Journalism at the Complutense University. Following his studies, he began his professional career at Cadena COPE as a presenter and collaborator on the show Tiempo de Juego, where he was part of the team from June 2003 until the same month in 2006.

The journalist's next professional step was Canal+, where he joined as a presenter and producer of the news program Deportes Cuatro, a channel where his travels around the world began. The Hercules fan has covered major football tournaments, from Brunete to World Cups and European Championships.

His face, recognized in the football world, has also earned him roles as a presenter for various brand events. Additionally, the Alicante native has experience as an educator. He has been a professor of the Master's in Sports Journalism at Villanueva University and has taught a Masterclass in Sports Journalism at the Higher School of Communication and Marketing (ESCO).

Ricardo Reyes will turn 40 in 2025, thus bidding farewell to his 30s in Lanzarote, spending his first New Year's Eve away from his family, although he assures that his closest circle is "very happy" with this significant career leap.
