On Thursday, June 12, the National Police introduced the fourth edition of the 'RUTA 091' Charity Run at the Provincial Police Station of Alicante. The charity event is scheduled for September 21, 2025, with all proceeds going to the non-profit organization Adema (Alicante Multiple Sclerosis Association).
The 'Route 091 Solidarity Kilometres' is a series of charity runs organized by the National Police across various cities nationwide, with proceeds always supporting charitable causes aiding the underprivileged. Last year, the beneficiary was the ADCA (Acquired Brain Injury Association).
The event will feature two races for adults - 10k and 5k - and a popular 5-kilometre 'walkers' march. The route will pass through the city's urban area, with a 90-minute limit to complete the circuit.
Additionally, five races will be held for children under 14, with varying distances according to age: Sub6 (200m), Sub8 (400m), Sub10 (500m), Sub12 (600m), and Sub14 (800m), each lasting five minutes. These races will take place on the athletics track at the Alicante Joaquín Villar Athletics Stadium.
The starting line will be located on Foguerer José Romeu Street in Alicante, with the finish line at the Alicante Joaquín Villar Athletics Stadium. A nursery service with workshops and children's entertainment will also be available for the youngest participants.
Registrations and Benefits
All proceeds from race participants will be donated entirely to the non-profit organization Adema. This includes funds raised through registrations, open from this Thursday until September 16 via the official website www.ruta091.es, as well as on the day of the race at the onsite stands.
Participants can purchase event T-shirts and related items. The 'zero bib' option allows registrants to contribute a chosen amount for charity.

The event is organized by the National Police and the Alicante City Council's Department of Sports, with official sponsors Banco Santander and the Police Mutual Insurance Society (Mupol).
