A total of 124 trainee Civil Guards will join various units in the province of Alicante starting in October, thus beginning the second phase of their training period. This time, the objective has been to prioritize the presence of trainees in territorial citizen security units, with a special focus on areas facing demographic challenges, according to a statement from the Civil Guard.

The incorporation of these guards will significantly improve coverage in this province, reaching an average of 95.89%. Additionally, when considering all Zones, along with the Commanderies of Ceuta and Melilla, the increase in coverage since June stands at 1.56 points.

Consequently, the overall coverage rate concerning the catalog grows to 90%. This number of trainee guards represents an increase of 39 compared to the previous year, when 85 individuals were incorporated.

The trainees from the 129th class of the Baeza Guard Academy and the 170th class of the Valdemoro Young Guards College will continue their training with a 40-week internship period.

During this time, a small number of trainees will also carry out part of their internships in specialized units deployed throughout the national territory, such as the Traffic Group.

In this regard, last June saw the approval of a new public employment offer that will allow a total of 2,721 trainee guards to join training centers once the competitive examination process is completed, marking the highest number since 2009.
