Alicante Hotels Exceed Expectations During Hogueras, Surpassing Occupancy Forecasts

Hotels in Alicante have exceeded expectations, recording their own version of August during the Hogueras de San Juan. Establishments in the city, including those at San Juan beach, have met expectations and nearly reached full capacity.

According to the Provincial Association of Hotels and Tourist Accommodations of the Province of Alicante (APHA), between June 20 and 25, city establishments reached 91.8% occupancy, compared to 92.6% in the beach area, averaging 92% occupancy, compared to 86% for the entire province.

These figures place Alicante hotels close to full capacity. APHA assures that these are 'very positive values, close to full capacity, confirming the expectations outlined in the forecasts, which were around 90%'.

In fact, during the weekend, there was a maximum influx of visitors, with 'numerous establishments displaying the full sign', according to the tourist association. Last-minute bookings, according to hoteliers, 'have allowed us to surpass the confirmation figures from 15 days ago, which were at 84.4%'.

APHA also highlights the positive performance of hotel prices and especially the 'good functioning of the sector and the destination in the face of a challenge of this magnitude'. The Hogueras have been held with virtually no incidents, and 'the quality of the experience offered has been, once again, excellent', the sector values.
