Alicante to Host the III Techworking Forum Focusing on Female Talent and the Gender Digital Divide

Alicante will host the III Techworking Forum on 29th May at 5 PM at the Puerta Ferrisa auditorium, focusing on female talent in the innovative and digital field, as well as the gender digital divide. The event is organised by Impulsalicante, AEPA, and Fempa.

The latest Gender Digital Divide report, 2025 edition with 2024 data, highlights two revealing and alarming facts in the tech sector concerning women: "most ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) specialists are men, and only 19.5% of workers in these occupations are women."

The report literally states that "women undertake less: entrepreneurial initiatives led by women with medium-high technological level are 8%, while those led by men are 12%."

The three entities have organised a unique event in the province for Thursday, 29th May at 5:00 PM at the Puerta Ferrisa Auditorium, where we can learn about, value, and highlight the role of women in the digital and innovative landscape of the province of Alicante through the experiences of the attendees.

Firstly, Impulsalicante will present the municipal strategic initiative, Alicante Futura, aimed at structuring the main lines of Alicante's future. A future linked to innovation and the digital revolution, based on the strengths and potentials of our business ecosystem.

Subsequently, representatives from Fempa and AEPA, who had previously organised such an event twice before the Alicante City Council promoted and sponsored the initiative, will moderate the main panel. It will feature Lara Rodríguez, Manager of AlicanTEC, Patricia Torregrosa, Innovation Manager at Grupo Benigar, Yamelis Quivera, entrepreneur, Desirée Bellot, Director of the Cultural Society Casino of Monóvar, and Silvia Adriasola, Gender coach and expert in female leadership.
