Alicante will have two new train connections with Valencia and Barcelona on weekends. Several routes of this line extend their journey to the provincial capital.

Starting November 5, on Saturdays the Euromed from Barcelona will be extended (departing from the city at 8:15 AM and stopping in Valencia at 11:19 AM) to Alicante.

The other connection will be on Sundays. The Euromed to Barcelona Sants, stopping in Valencia, will start its journey in Alicante at 12:35 PM.

These new routes, as well as the existing ones, will undergo changes due to Adif works at Joaquín Sorolla station. Thus, Renfe has announced that, also starting November 5, all Euromed trains to and from Alicante will stop at Valencia's Estació del Nord.

The company has already put tickets on sale until December 14, and plans to extend sales until January, according to the railway company in a statement.

This provisional change of the stop in Valencia, which will be established from November 5 to December 22, is due to a new phase in the works being carried out by Adif for the creation of the Access Channel, which involves actions at Joaquín Sorolla station to expand the station's capacity and increase the track bundle there.
