The Local Development Agency of Alicante City Council, 'Impulsalicante', has awarded grants amounting to €170,000 to non-profit associations and entities that promote employment integration, entrepreneurship, and innovation programs in the city of Alicante. These grants are awarded in three categories, with 16 beneficiaries in the first group, five in the second, and four in the last one.

The Councillor for Employment and Promotion, Mari Carmen de España, highlighted that "Impulsalicante collaborates through these grants with non-profit associations and entities to foster training and services aimed at helping the most disadvantaged people or vulnerable groups to find work through employment integration programs, employment accelerators, job intermediation services, monitoring, or through workshops and other employment search orientation services."

The grants, amounting to €170,000, support programs through contributions ranging from €4,000 to €10,000, generally depending on their costs. In Category A, corresponding to grants for programs related to the care of unemployed youth aged 16 to 35, a total of 16 entities benefit: Adacea, Anilia, Alicante Emprende, Apsa, Aspali, Colegio Nazaret, Federation of Young Entrepreneurs of Alicante, Fempa, Fundación Diagrama, ECCA Social, Fundeun, Fundación Nova Feina, FISAT, Fundación Secretariado Gitano, and the Nueva Asociación. In this group, grants amounting to €101,823.78 are awarded.

In Category B, aimed at projects supporting stable services to combat unemployment in groups with difficult employment integration, five entities have benefited: Cáritas, Cocemfe, Fundación Nova Feina, UPAPSA, and Fempa, with various programs amounting to €44,176.22. As for Category C, aimed at social innovation projects for employment, grants have been awarded to four projects to the entities: Adacea, Genion, Alasac, and Arquitectura sin Fronteras, related to virtual reality, artificial intelligence, digital applications focused on employment, and the recovery of vulnerable neighborhoods.

"It is very important to especially help young people aged 16 to 35 who are unemployed to integrate into the labor market so that they can have a future and develop their life projects, in addition to supporting vulnerable groups and boosting innovations in socio-labor matters that facilitate people's access to work. These are all issues that concern and on which Impulsalicante has been working, in collaboration with social entities and support for people," De España emphasized.
