Alicante Gastronomic Solidarity (AGS) will distribute 2,000 roscones on the Night of the Kings along with a special menu for that date among the most vulnerable groups in the province of Alicante and the municipalities affected by the storm in Valencia. The main dish for that day will be Coren chicken drumsticks. In this way, AGS continues the tradition it has been carrying out in recent years.
Of these roscones, 1,200 individual ones have been made by AGS volunteers, known as #HeroesWithApron, and the rest are roscones from the 'Best Artisan Roscón de Reyes 2025' contest donated by the Guild of Bakers and Pastry Chefs of the province of Alicante as well as by various bakers and pastry chefs from Alicante. All of them are decorated with figurines and chocolates donated by Dekora and accompanied by hot chocolate.
The menu for that special night consists of Coren lemon chicken drumsticks with sautéed vegetables and cherry tomatoes donated by the company Mercadorc (MRC), part of the association of Chinese merchants and entrepreneurs in Spain. As usual, the dinner is completed with fruit, drink, bread, and Christmas sweets, according to the organization.
This year, the menu and the roscones de Reyes will also be distributed at the hot food delivery points in the municipalities affected by the devastating flood last October. Additionally, alongside these hot meals, large toys will be handed out to ensure no child is left without joy on this magical night.
Alicante Gastronomic Solidarity continues to distribute food and encouragement in the ground zero area of the province of Valencia. Currently, from the #SolidarityKitchens, hot meals are still being prepared and cooked, which are distributed daily among those affected and volunteers of the storm.

From the #KitchensWithHeart, a total of 275,000 hot meals have been sent to the Valencian municipalities since November 1st, when the distributions began with the coordination of the Valencian Government through the vice-presidency and the Ministry of Social Services. Currently, hot meals are distributed in the Valencian towns of Alfafar, Benetússer, Catarroja, Paiporta, and Sedaví.
The menus for these special days have been cooked by the #HeroesWithApron and chefs from various parts of Spain through Eurotoques, who have been collaborating in the kitchens of Mutxamel since the start of the storm emergency.
The director of AG Solidarity, Gema Amor, highlighted "with the distribution of this special menu for the Day of the Kings, we want to maintain the tradition of all the years. A menu that has been prepared thanks to the contributions of companies and the unconditional support of the hands of AG Solidarity volunteers. For these very special days, we wanted to prepare menus based on the typical dishes of Alicante cuisine at this time, combining tradition and nutritional value."

Amor highlighted "the great work of the thousands of anonymous people and companies who, with their time, dedication, and resources, and with their own hands, make it possible that, during these dates and throughout the 365 days of the year, this solidarity wave continues to grow and bring a smile to those who need it most."
At the same time, she calls on all people who want to collaborate with AG Solidarity "to be encouraged to try and be part of this revolution. More and more families need our help, and all hands and donations are necessary to reach all the people who need us." Anyone who wants to join can do so by contacting via email at alicantesolidaria@gmail.com or by visiting the facilities in the Riodel industrial estate in Mutxamel.
Alicante Gastronomic Solidarity is an assistance initiative that has allowed the cooking and distribution of more than 1,300,000 solidarity meals since the start of the pandemic. The need caused by Covid-19 pushed the Alicante Chamber of Commerce to embark on this exciting solidarity adventure, which, thanks to the generosity of nearly 5,500 #HeroesWithApron and more than 1,200 #CompaniesWithSoul, distributes encouragement and food 365 days a year.
The president of AG Solidarity and vice-president of the Chamber, Jesús Navarro, wanted to highlight "our mission is to bring joy and hope to those people who are often invisible to society" and highlighted the social commitment of Alicante companies with the province of Alicante "and that is the commitment of the Chamber of Commerce and Alicante Gastronomic Solidarity, to be useful to entrepreneurs and society, to be close to people and to be sensitive to their demands."
