The Family Business Association of the province of Alicante (AEFA) has raised a total of 45,000 euros to support those affected by the DANA on October 29th. The amount was announced during the traditional Christmas gathering of these entities, held this Saturday with solidarity as its banner.
AEFA President, Maite Antón, in her speech, remembered the victims of the DANA in Valencia and thanked the "family businesses of Alicante for once again demonstrating their extraordinary solidarity in the face of tragedy." The funds raised will be donated to the Red Cross.
AEFA's annual event brought together numerous entrepreneurs and families, spanning up to four different generations. The Alicante entity asserts that it is "a reflection of the unity and strength of the family business community in Alicante."
AEFA reaches a total of 185 member companies, following the addition of a dozen new companies: Azafranes La Llave (successors Blas Palomares), Envaplast, Eurocargo Express, Grúas García, Grupo El Castillo, Hotel Meridional Guardamar, Mark Petrie, Naturtex, Sanchis Mira, and Turrones Picó have joined and received a commemorative plaque in recognition of their integration into the association.
Maite Antón took the opportunity to review the year, highlighting the numerous activities carried out, especially in the educational field, and thanked the support of AEFA's Board of Directors and its collaborators, on the eve of its 30th anniversary, which will be celebrated in 2025. This is a milestone, as it will be the first family business association to reach this age.
