Everything is set for the high season at Alicante-Elche Airport. The Alicante terminal is facing a new record-breaking summer period with approximately 14.7 million seats scheduled, a 3.2% increase from the last high season and a 6% increase from the actual operations at the Alicante terminal, according to data from airport operator Aena.

The Alicante terminal will feature several new destinations, some of which are unprecedented. Airlines such as Ryanair and EasyJet, the two with the highest passenger traffic at Alicante-Elche Airport, have announced new destinations for the high season. The Irish company will fly to Linz and Salzburg in Austria, and to the Polish city of Bydgoszcz. The British airline will connect the Costa Blanca with Naples and Athens, unprecedented destinations.

The success of Alicante-Elche Airport year after year, where records have been broken month by month since 2023, has attracted several airlines. Last year, Air Baltic arrived, and now, in the high season, the Ukrainian airline Sky Up is joining.

It will connect for the first time with Moldova, a small country of 2.46 million people. The airline will offer flights to Chisinau, the capital located between Romania and Ukraine. There will be two weekly flights on Mondays and Fridays starting from May 4th.

The Ukrainian airline, which will operate for the first time in the high season from Alicante-Elche Airport, will depart from Alicante at 18:10 on Mondays and Fridays, arriving at 23:00. From Moldova, the plane will depart at 14:20, landing at 17:10.

It will not be the only airline connecting Alicante-Elche Airport with this city. The Moldovan company FlyOne will link the Costa Blanca with Chisinau with two weekly flights, on Wednesdays and Saturdays from June 7th until October 25th, when the high season ends.

Thus, the journey will last three hours and 40 minutes, departing from Alicante at 10:30, arriving at 15:00. Returns from Moldova will be from 06:50 in the morning, arriving at 09:30.
