In the first three months of 2025, Alicante-Elche Airport is experiencing significant growth. With three absolute records and a historic schedule for the high season, airlines continue to expand their programs for both summer and winter.

Despite new routes opening to destinations like Belgrade (Wizz Air), Athens (EasyJet), Linz and Salzburg (Ryanair), or Chisinau (FlyOne and Sky Up), important connections to Central Europe are not neglected, which increase frequencies for the winter season 2025/26.

Thus, the Dutch airline Transavia, ranked sixth in passenger traffic in 2024 at Alicante-Elche Airport (833,000), has announced its winter schedule with significant updates at the Alicante terminal and more frequencies to four European cities in Belgium, France, and the Netherlands.

The company opened ticket sales for the winter season on April 16, covering November 2025 to March 2026. At Alicante-Elche Airport, it will operate five routes, increasing frequencies on four compared to the previous low season.

Thus, Alicante Airport will have more flights to Brussels, Eindhoven, and Rotterdam in the Netherlands, and to Paris-Orly. Only Amsterdam-Schiphol will maintain the same frequencies as last winter, with 15 weekly flights, according to the scheduled flights on its website.

For the Dutch destinations, Transavia will fly to Eindhoven and Rotterdam with 12 weekly flights, two more for the former and one more for the latter. The Alicante-Eindhoven route will have double frequencies on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, with flights departing at 11:05 and 19:20 from El Altet. As for the Rotterdam link, with 12 weekly flights, there will be two daily flights on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, departing at 10:15 and 19:30 from the Alicante terminal.

The connection with the Belgian capital also increases by two frequencies, reaching nine weekly flights, with double departures on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 10:20 and 19:20, while the rest of the days will have afternoon departures.

For Paris-Orly, Transavia will operate flights every day except Tuesday and Wednesday, about eight weekly, with two more frequencies than in 2024. It will fly twice a day on Mondays, Fridays, and Sundays, with departure times from Alicante varying between 15:25 and 19:00 and 11:00 and 16:00, depending on the day. This route is also operated by Vueling Airlines, while in Eindhoven, the Dutch company competes against Ryanair and in Brussels against Vueling, Tui Fly, and Brussels Airlines.
