Alicante maintained the pace of shipment of equipment, materials, and supplies to the Valencian municipalities affected by the DANA this Monday. The mayor, Luis Barcala, explained at the end of the five minutes of silence held in front of the Town Hall, convened by the Valencian Federation of Municipalities and Provinces, that three more cranes requested by the Valencia City Council have been sent, adding to four others already on the ground, and two vans with cleaning materials and water pumps to the municipalities of Sedaví and Alfafar.

Luis Barcala noted that "more than 200 tons of materials and supplies have already been sent to the areas affected by the DANA from the 260 tons collected." Throughout this Monday, 90 tons are expected to be sent in five trailers, and another 20 will remain in municipal warehouses to be distributed according to the needs expressed by the municipalities of the affected areas.

The mayor also thanked all the people of Alicante who, during this holiday, have come to the Alicante Technification Center and other deposit points in the city to offer their solidarity to help those who have lost everything. "This is not over, and we will have to continue helping," Barcala expressed, calling on the people of Alicante who still want to collaborate to stay alert for new collections. The mayor confirmed that "two new trailers with aid have left this Monday for the collection centers in Valencia and that the rest of the aid is being collected in a municipal warehouse in the Aguamarga industrial area to meet the needs expressed by the municipalities."

He also thanked the business community for all the help received by providing forklifts and pallet trucks for loading, as well as the trailers, trucks, and vans provided for the transport of all this solidarity from the people of Alicante. The mayor announced that he will release a list of all these collaborations. "It is commendable and very meritorious to move all the resources of your company and offer them altruistically," the mayor finally emphasized.
