It starts the course at the Alicante Concert Society. The entity has scheduled a total of 18 auditions "of the highest quality" for its new grand season, which will start next Monday, October 7 with baritone Matthias Goerne at the Teatro Principal de Alicante.
The programming of the Alicante Concert Society will feature world-class artists throughout the course and will also open up to new genres in order to attract more diverse audiences who "love good music".
Likewise, the agenda highlights the presence of chamber ensembles such as the Wanderer Trio; the Casals Quartet; the Virtuosos Quintet of the Berlin Philharmonic, with solo violinist Kirill Troussov; the Covent Garden Soloists; the Haroutunian-Hakhnazaryan-Melikyan Trio and the Hagen Quartet.

Two vocal groups will also arrive in Alicante, the Concerto Italiano and the extraordinary Christmas concert with sacred music and popular carols with the Orchestra and Choir of the Community of Madrid (Orcam).
As pianists, in addition to Judith Jaúregui who will close the season on May 26, Enrico Pace, Yulianna Avdeeva, Grigory Sokolov, Yefim Bronfman, Martín García García and Francesco Piemontesi will visit Alicante. Violinist Renaud Capuçon will also perform accompanied by pianist Guillaume Bellom. As for singing recitals, tenor Christoph Prégardien will join Matthias Goerne, accompanied on piano by Michael Gees.
In addition to all these scheduled performances, there will be others provided by the Fundación Sociedad de Conciertos de Alicante and the concert of the National Interpretation Prize Sociedad de Conciertos-Oftalvist, which next year will celebrate its 40th edition.
The representative of the Governing Board of the Alicante Concert Society and president of the Fundación Sociedad de Conciertos de Alicante, Alfonso Ramón-Borja, highlighted that the season now starting "will offer greater diversity in terms of genres and types of concerts to attract more diverse audiences who love good music".
The Alicante Concert Society has been tirelessly working for 52 years during which it has organized nearly 1,000 classical music concerts. In addition, for two years it has had a foundation to achieve more economic and social support, which allows spreading love for classical music.
