Alicante's Christmas Fair Bids Farewell to an Iconic Attraction and Welcomes Two New Roller Coasters

Alicante is gearing up to shine this Christmas. The city is finalizing details before the lights are switched on, this Friday, November 29th, the same date when the traditional fair with stalls, sweets, and attractions will be inaugurated. The venue will be located, as every year, on Xàtiva Street in Rabasa.

Many novelties are arriving at Alicante's Christmas fair. One will be missed, as the attractions bid farewell to the Ratón Vacilón, which will not be lifting its cars and bringing laughter to Alicante this year. This small roller coaster has accompanied several generations of Alicante residents during fair afternoons, providing equal parts adrenaline and fun.

The departure of the Ratón Vacilón has paved the way for the installation of two new attractions at Alicante's Christmas fair. These are two roller coasters, the Jet Star with a classic route, dizzying drops, and fast turns only suitable for the most adventurous; and the Hype Energy, perfect for those who love a spin.

These are two of the major novelties at Alicante's Christmas fair 2024. The second roller coaster is a unique attraction in Spain that will spend the most special time of the year in 'la terreta'. The carriages of this thrilling proposal turn on themselves, spin, and circle, an experience hard to explain without feeling queasy but sure to delight those who enjoy the thrill.

As if that weren't enough in terms of excitement, risk, and adventure at Alicante's Christmas fair, the V double will also be present during the festivities, a roller coaster that goes up and down at full speed, adding to the fun and adventure offered by the other attractions.

But that's not all, horror enthusiasts will also find important novelties for this 2024 edition of Alicante's Christmas fair. This time, there will be a new horror passage, the Killer Diablo. Visitors will walk through the corridors while seeing some of the most famous horror characters in history. An opportunity to have fun with guaranteed scares. Other attractions like the Telecombate base UFO are also new this year.

The Rabasa space will remain open with Alicante's Christmas fair from November 29th to January 19th, 2025. While the peak days of Christmas are yet to come, the fair will be open on weekends from 12 to 2 PM and from 5 PM until closing.

From December 19th, the fair will open every day at 5 PM until January 6th. Additionally, on Sundays and holidays, it will also open in the morning from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM.

Residents of Alicante can enjoy an afternoon full of activities at the Rabasa space in the city. Next to Decathlon, the attractions and stalls of the Christmas fair will be located.

Although the prices for each ride on the attractions usually increase slightly, this year they will remain between 3.5 and 4.5 euros. A commitment to making this Christmas leisure offer accessible to more families.

As the fair season approaches, Alicante residents start looking for the famous 2x1 discounts available when shopping at local markets and stores. Although it is not yet clear exactly which shops will offer them, the fair has already announced that once again these vouchers will be available to Alicante residents.
