Alicante's Bonfires will bid farewell to March in their signature style, with thunder and gunpowder. The festive schedule announces three mascletàs spread over the next two weekends, bringing humour, colour, and atmosphere to various neighbourhoods of the city.

The nearest mascletà will take place this Saturday, 22nd March at 11 PM on Pablo Neruda Street, following the Lo Morant Park. The night-time display by Coeters Dragón will conclude a day of community organised by the bonfires and barracks of the Northern Sector.

The festivities will kick off on this street in Alicante at 7 PM, featuring food and drink stalls, raffles for bellea del foc candidates, both adult and children, a grand children's balloon drop, music, and mascletà.

Gunpowder will return to Alicante next week with two more displays. The first will be at the Don Bosco bonfire, featuring a night-time mascletà at the Glorieta de la Solidaridad by the Hermanos Sirvent pyrotechnics.

This new session of the festive calendar will also feature an afternoon party starting at 6:30 PM on Saturday, 29th March in the Pau 1 neighbourhood of Alicante.

Additionally, the city of Alicante will once again resonate with another mascletà on Sunday, 30th March at 2 PM, as part of the 'Pòlvora tot l'any' cycle. The Federació de Fogueres will resume the suspended display from the 2nd due to rain and strong winds at the Gómiz promenade, next to the Postiguet beach.

April also promises displays, such as the one at Florida Portazgo, which will feature its traditional afternoon party and a night-time mascletà by Hermanos Sirvent, paying tribute to Pedro Luis Sirvent, at 11 PM on Cefeo Street.

Breakfasts at Alicante's Bonfires

The weekend schedule is also filled with breakfasts organised by various bonfires and barracks in Alicante. At 11 AM on 29th March, the 'picaetas' of the Rabasa bonfire, on Samaniego Street 3, and the Tots Contents barrack, on Foguerer Street, will commence.

The Parque de las Avenidas commission has also organised a popular breakfast for this Sunday at 11:30 AM in the vacant lot between Doctor José Belmonte and Doctor Juan Ferrer streets.
