Alicante is gearing up for one of the most exciting days of the Bonfire Festival on Monday, June 23. With the festive atmosphere at its peak, the day will be filled with events for all ages: fireworks, parades, traditional dances, culture, and the eagerly awaited last night before the "cremà."
Awakenings, Parades, and Awards
From early morning, the neighbourhoods of Alicante will come alive with the traditional awakenings and parades by the bonfire and barraca commissions. The festival spirit will be felt in every district, bringing the essence of "les Fogueres" to every corner of the city.
Additionally, the "belleas del foc" and their "dames d'honor" will present the flower offering awards at the "Mercadito de les Fogueres," an event full of emotion and recognition for the work of the commissions.
Parade of Nanos i Gegants
Music will once again fill the centre with the parade of the "Colla de Nanos i Gegants d'Alacant," which will start at 1:00 PM from the Town Hall square. It will follow the official route through Altamira Street, Rambla de Méndez Núñez, and Alfonso El Sabio, ending at Luceros Square.

Sixth Mascletà of the Contest
At 2:00 PM, in Luceros Square, the sixth mascletà of the official contest will be fired. The pyrotechnic show will be the responsibility of Hermanos Ferrández de Beniel (Murcia). As always, it will be the "bellea del foc" who will signal the start of the display with the iconic shout: "Senyor pirotècnic, pot començar la mascletà!"
Dansà d'Alacant and Celebration Around Official Monuments
From 7:00 PM, the traditional Dansà d'Alacant will begin in the Town Hall square, celebrated around the official monuments: 'Identidad' by Pedro Espadero and 'Llum d'Alacant' (children's bonfire). A spectacle that combines tradition, culture, and emotion in the heart of the city.

Bullfighting Fair: Cayetano Rivera Bids Farewell to Alicante
At the same time, in the Bullring, a very special bullfight of the 2025 Bonfire Festival will commence. On the bill: Morante de la Puebla, José María Manzanares, and Cayetano Rivera Ordoñez, in his farewell to Alicante. The bulls will be from the Puerto de San Lorenzo and Ventana del Puerto ranches.
International Folk Parade
At 8:00 PM, the streets will be filled with colour and music with the much-anticipated International Folk Parade, featuring groups from across the Valencian Community, other autonomous communities, and invited delegations from various countries.
The parade route will follow the official festival itinerary: Luceros, Alfonso el Sabio, Rambla, Rafael Altamira, and Town Hall square.
Last Night in Racós and Barracas
From 10:00 PM, the racós and barracas will host the final parties of the festival. Music and a festive atmosphere will fill the neighbourhoods well into the early hours. The shortest night of the year will be, for many Alicantinos, the last chance to fully enjoy the Bonfires 2025.
