The auditorium of the Casa de Cultura in l'Alfàs del Pi will host the tenth Gala of the Business Trajectory Award tomorrow, Saturday, at 8:30 p.m. Organised by the Association of Traders and Entrepreneurs of the municipality (Coempa), this event has become a staple in the local calendar, recognising the work and dedication of businesses that have contributed to the economic development of the municipality.
This edition will honour Supermercado Costa Blanca, Raúl Wals Insurance Agency, and Exialoe, three companies that "represent the entrepreneurial spirit, innovation, and commitment to the local community."
The Councillor for Commerce, Patrick de Meirsman, has called for participation. "I would like to invite all citizens to attend the gala, where Coempa will present the business trajectory awards. This edition will recognise the work of three local companies that, with more than 30 years of dedication and commitment, have become benchmarks within our municipality. It will be a night to celebrate the talent, effort, and entrepreneurial spirit that define our commerce," he declared.
Supermercado Costa Blanca began its journey in l'Alfàs del Pi in 1988, where the Norwegian and Dutch populations already had a significant presence in the area. After nearly 40 years in the municipality, this establishment has specialised in bringing the cultures of Norway, Sweden, the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Belgium, the United Kingdom, and Russia closer through its gastronomy, offering a select range of products available online or in its two physical stores in l'Alfàs del Pi and Orihuela Costa. Notably, its commitment to sustainability is evident after a significant investment in solar panels, allowing them to achieve near-zero emissions in their daily operations.
Raúl Wals Insurance Agency was established in Albir in 2002, coinciding with the start of operations in Spain by the Liberty Seguros brand. The company's manager, Raul Wals, began selling insurance in 1993 with Sun Alliance, a brand later acquired by the American insurer Liberty Mutual at the beginning of 2000, adopting the name Liberty Seguros. Recently, Liberty Seguros Spain was acquired by Generali Seguros. From the beginning of this long trajectory, the business focus was directed towards the expatriate community, primarily the Scandinavian market. Currently, Raul Wals and his team continue to offer the best solutions to their clients every day.
Exialoe is dedicated to the production and distribution of natural products made with aloe vera through direct sales. This company is a clear example of how a small local business can grow, expand, and become a national and international reference in its field of activity over the years. Specialising in designing, creating, manufacturing, and selling natural health and beauty products, primarily based on aloe vera, the second generation of this family business maintains the same passion as their predecessors. In 1996, they launched their first product, a multi-purpose cream with Aloe Vera, reaching over a hundred different references for internal and external use by 2021.
