The mayor of Elda, Rubén Alfaro, announced this Friday a surprise reshuffle in the composition of the local government with the aim of "revitalizing all areas, continuing to implement policies that allow for the transformation and modernization of the city, and at the same time, continuing to promote support measures for people and productive sectors in Elda."
The distribution of responsibilities is as follows: Silvia Ibáñez (Public Safety, Emergencies, Mobility, Commerce and Markets); José Antonio Amat (Presidency, Public Space, European Funds, Investments and Legal Services); María Gisbert (Education, Equality, Childhood and Democratic Memory); David Guardiola (Social Welfare, Elderly People and Festivities); Elizabeth Belda (Relations with the University, Health and Responsible Consumption); Jesús Sellés (Sustainable Urbanism, Activities, Housing, Human Resources and Modernization); Lorena Pedrero (Economic Promotion, Industry, Employment and Citizen Participation); Fernando Gómez (Finance, Contracting, Heritage, Transparency and Good Governance); Rosa Vidal (Tourism, Theatre and Media); Enrique Quílez (Sports, Citizen Attention and Digital Divide); Anabel García (Youth, Diversity and Solidarity); Iñaki Pérez (Culture, Historical Heritage and Museums) and Cristina Rodríguez (Natural Environment and Animal Protection).
Although the mayor of Elda recalled that "the current local government has completed this first year. With these changes we seek to revitalize government action from all areas, always with the sole objective of boosting the economic growth of our city and improving the quality of life for the people of Elda."
