The Secretary General of the PSPV-PSOE in the province of Alicante, Rubén Alfaro, accompanied by the Secretary of Organization of the PSPV-PSOE of the Valencian Community, Vicent Mascarell, held a meeting with militants from the L'Alacantí region where he advocated 'the need to believe again in self-government as a way of doing politics, something the PP denies.'

The provincial secretary stated from Sant Joan that 'we cannot tolerate governing the Valencian Community from indignity, from positions that embrace the far-right and deny Europe, the Green Pact, and are completely xenophobic and racist. The province of Alicante has always been a land of welcome, by idiosyncrasy, and the PP wants to change our essence and image, and from the PSOE, we will not allow it.'

On the other hand, Vicent Mascarell highlighted 'the importance of the regions and the province of Alicante in adding indispensable value to Diana Morant's project, a project that will lead us to preside over the Valencian Generalitat, because the Valencian people deserve to have all the dignity that the current Consell is not providing returned to them.' Mascarell also added, 'I am convinced that with Rubén Alfaro at the helm, the province of Alicante will have a wide margin of victories in the upcoming municipal elections.'

Finally, Alfaro concluded by saying, 'I am convinced that in the upcoming elections we will win to restore to our institutions values that citizens already consider lost, such as dignity, transparency, or good governance. We are a party that listens to the voice of the street and addresses the closest needs of our neighbours, and that closeness and commitment will lead us to achieve a very good electoral result.'

During the event, the Mayor of Tibi, José Luis Candela; the spokesperson of Sant Joan, Esther Donate; the spokesperson of Mutxamel, Antonio Cachinero; the spokesperson of El Campello, Raquel Marín; the Secretary of the PSPV-PSOE of the L'Alacantí region, Baltasar Ortiz; and the Secretary General of Sant Joan, Pablo Celdrán, also spoke.
