Alert for DANA in Castellón: Civil Protection urges staying indoors

Alert for flooding in Castellón. Emergency services have activated Situation 2 due to episodes of torrential rains in the province of Castellón and maintain the red alert for the heavy rainfall occurring in the area.

In response to this episode of torrential rains in the province of Castellón, Civil Protection has issued an alert to mobile phones urging citizens not to go outside or travel on roads, many of which are flooded.

Authorities ask citizens of Castellón to shelter in their homes on high ground and, if outside, to seek high areas to avoid the floods and torrents that have begun to form since this morning in the province. Additionally, road travel is restricted.

The Civil Protection alert states: "In light of the episode of heavy rains, it is requested that you stay in your homes in elevated areas and, if outside, seek high points. It is requested not to travel on roads as agreed by CECOPI."
