Alejandro Sanz Responds to Ivet Playa: "I Had a Very Beautiful Memory of Us, Two Adults Sharing Their Affection"

After the commotion caused by the statements of Ivet Playa, in which she spoke about how she felt during her youthful romance with Alejandro Sanz when she was 22, the singer has spoken out to settle the story through a statement on his social media. "I had a very beautiful memory of us, two adults sharing their affection, being free. It's a shame that this feeling has now been broken," he said after hearing his admirer and former employee say that what began as a dream turned into a "terrible nightmare."

Sanz defended that the woman's publication is due to his rejection of an economic proposal: "In May, you offered me to participate and invest in some of your family businesses; after reviewing it with my advisors, I told you no," he wrote. "I regret that your reaction is this, but I want you to know that I have never been a part of these practices and will continue to be so all my life. I wish you find your path and happiness soon."

What he has not denied in any case is that he had an affair with his former employee, which would have happened in 2019 according to Ivet's account, who dates her first meeting with Alejandro in 2015, when she was 18 and he was 49, to mark her move to Madrid to work with the artist at the age of 22. It was then that the "personal bond became intimate and sexual," she confesses.

As far as was known, in the summer of 2019, Alejandro Sanz ended his relationship with Raquel Perera, mother of his children Dylan and Alma, with whom he had been since 2007.
