Alejandra Cardona Bermejo: "In the Bonfires, there is a Relationship of Commitment and Dedication"

Alejandra Cardona Bermejo has been part of the Fiesta since birth. At just one year old, she was 'minibellea' of Barrio José Antonio, a commission where she also served as lady of honour for four years. Following this, she moved to Benalúa, the bonfire she represented as bellea during the 2024 season.

Afterwards, this Alicante native is experiencing the journey of being a candidate for bellea del foc of Alicante, which she will finalise in the coming weeks during the catwalk events at Rico Pérez and the selection at the city's bullring.

A lifetime in the Hogueras of Alicante has taught her that the city's official festivities are "a relationship of commitment and dedication." Alejandra Cardona Bermejo acknowledges that "I love attending all possible events" because "I enjoy them all immensely."

One of the events she eagerly anticipates is the 'plantà'. She highlights "the moment of placing the earth, the stones, and seeing your bonfire completed." Another moment filled with emotion is the offering to the Virgin of Remedio, patroness of Alicante.

Among her Fiesta memories, she recalls an anecdote from her previous commission. "One day, the belleas would have a meal and then we would all end up soaking each other with hoses or buckets."
