Changes in the management of Stellantis Iberia. Now, the new head of the Peugeot brand in Spain and Portugal will be Alberto de Aza, who replaces Joao Mendes. According to a statement from the Franco-Italian-American consortium, "he is starting new professional challenges outside the company."

The Spaniard was responsible for the light commercial vehicles business unit, a field in which Stellantis brands dominated thanks to the Citroën Berlingo and Peugeot Partner, manufactured in Vigo.

Now, the head of the commercial vehicles business unit will be Diego Rey, who until now was the Sales Director of the group's premium brands: Alfa Romeo, Lancia, and DS Automobiles.

Alberto de Aza has been with the European group for more than 15 years. He joined the FCA Group in 2009 when it was still Fiat and Chrysler and it was not yet conceived that they would merge with Peugeot and Citroën.

The appointment takes effect immediately, and De Aza faces a situation where Peugeot's sales are in a delicate moment: from January to August this year, in the private market, their deliveries fell by 22.8% to 9,465 units with a market share of 3.2%.
