The Juan Gil-Albert Alicante Institute of Culture dives into November with a schedule full of proposals, including a tribute to Luis García Berlanga and meetings with José Ángel Mañas, Alejandro G. Calvo, and José Corbacho.

'About: Berlanga' is the name of the audiovisual show by artists Edu Comelles and Sergi Palau, which, in a digital and contemporary key, explores Berlanga's cinematic universe and soundtracks. The aim is to critically reimagine and reinterpret nostalgia, collective memory, and remembrance through an innovative approach. Palau uses images from three of his films, digitally processed, to generate a new narrative that complements the musical composition, featuring electronic music by Edu Comelles to give a new focus to the proposal. The event will take place this Tuesday at 8 PM in the ADDA Conference Room, and entry is free upon registration on the IAC website.

Also, as part of the 'Word of Cinema' cycle, on Thursday, November 14, a meeting with Alejandro G. Calvo, journalist, film critic, and director of SensaCine, one of Spain's most important film websites, will take place at Casa Bardin at 6:30 PM. The event will feature Luis López Belda, and both will engage in an open dialogue with the audience, who can participate with questions.

Also at Casa Bardin, the following day - Friday, November 15 at 7 PM - a new session of the 'With All the Letters' cycle is scheduled, bringing writer José Ángel Mañas to Alicante. Mañas is the author of 'Doctor X' and 'Kronen Stories', his debut novel adapted into a film, which brought him popularity and made him a finalist for the 1994 Nadal Prize.

For the weekend, the Institute of Culture goes outdoors and proposes several activities, such as a tour of 'Juana Francés' Alicante' led by Natalia Molinos, which will take place on Saturday at 11 AM from the Alicante Town Hall and requires prior registration. Also on Saturday, at 12:30 PM, in the Plaza de España in San Vicente del Raspeig, the Muixeranga d'Alacant will offer a demonstration and a basic initiation workshop in this traditional practice. And on Sunday, by public demand, a tour of the Barranc d'Amorós will be repeated from the Los Molinos Environmental Center in Crevillent. This activity requires prior registration through the IAC website.

Additionally, tomorrow Tuesday and Wednesday, November 13, Casa Bardin will host sessions of the 'Comic Club' cycle - under the title 'X-Men as a Metaphor for Minority Discrimination' - and 'Club Note (n) Classic', with the proposal 'DIY Tips for Enjoying Musical Life Without Prejudices'.
