AITEX to Host the 19th Annual Congress of the European Technology Platform for Textiles and Clothing

AITEX will host the 19th Annual Congress of the European Technology Platform for Textiles and Clothing (Textile ETP), which will be held from May 12 to 14 at its facilities in Alcoi. This year's Congress will focus on eco-design, with a special emphasis on fashion, apparel, home textiles, and other textile items, highlighting the importance of incorporating sustainable practices from design to the end of the product's life cycle.

Additionally, the sustainability of technical and smart textiles will be addressed, evaluating their environmental impact and exploring how they can contribute to a circular economy in the textile industry. The conferences will be in English, with simultaneous translation into Spanish.

The event will also include the Annual General Assembly of the European Textile Technology Platform, bringing together key industry players to share advancements, discuss trends, and set common goals. This combination of activities will provide attendees with a comprehensive view of the challenges and opportunities in transitioning towards a more sustainable and technologically advanced textile sector.

The program will include sessions and panels focused on eco-design, emphasizing aspects such as durability, reparability, recyclability, and reducing the environmental impact of textile products. A key point of the congress will be design for circularity, where strategies to create products that optimize their life cycle and recyclability will be explored.
